Hello! It's time again to dive in support of the MATE ROV Competition. The MATE ROV competition is open to elementary through college age students who compete in a variety of tasks using their self-designed and built Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). Compeition is always a lot of fun, and lunch is provided! www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iZKerPHXLo The last several years we've had a strong showing of divers from GUE Seattle, and we would like to continue the tradition. 3-4 divers are required for Friday night set up and 16 for the compition on Saturday. Note that it's very warm and humid inside the building so be sure to dress appropriately. We require participants to wear closed-toed shoes so let's all do the same ourselves and set a good example (Keens ok). As usual, we need scuba divers who have their own gear - approximately 16 total. You'll be diving in ~86F freshwater, 10-17’ deep - fairly easy conditions to adapt to. If you have camera gear you’d like to use or test, you’re welcome to bring it. We will have at least one live-feed going up to the big-screen on the scoreboard.
